Recruitment specialists relocate to heart of Hereford business district

A recruitment specialist has moved its business to the heart of Hereford’s thriving business district to be close to key clients. Meridian Business Support has leased 636 sq ft of workspace at Priority Spaces’ Stirling House, in Skylon Park, Hereford, and aims to use its new office as a base for growth.

Stirling House is a high-spec, speculative office complex developed by Priority Space in partnership with the Hunt Group and Herefordshire Council.

Meridian Business Support is one of the largest privately-owned recruitment companies in the UK with a network of branches in 32 major towns and cities. Its Hereford branch specialises in matching candidates to vacancies in manufacturing, industrial and administration roles.

Meridian’s branch manager in Hereford Lucy Duffy said: “We sought a fresh start in 2023 after all the disruption to our industry, as a result of the Covid pandemic, furlough schemes and Brexit, and what better way to achieve this than with a new modern office.

“Being a recruitment branch predominantly focused on industrial, manufacturing, office and administration roles, it feels right to be in Stirling House at the heart of Hereford’s business district where the majority of our clients are located.”

The company has moved from Hereford High Street, where it has grown its business over ten years, and aims to expand its client base across Herefordshire and create new jobs in its new office over the next year.

Lucy said: “We pride ourselves on being a service-led organisation and offer tailormade specialist recruitment solutions to both candidates looking for their dream jobs and clients looking for their ideal candidates. We look forward to continuing to grow the Hereford branch of Meridian Business Support at Stirling House.”

Director of commercial property developers Priority Space, Adam Richardson said: “Meridian’s decision to relocate to Stirling House is testament to the growing business community we have here. All of Skylon Park’s employers need excellent professional support services in areas such as recruitment. We welcome Meridian to their new office and look forward to seeing their continued growth in Hereford.”

Stirling House is a high-spec 14,708 sq ft office development with suites available to buy or let. It is part of Priority Space’s Centenary Park development of speculative office, industrial and warehouse units in the Government-backed Hereford Enterprise Zone, Skylon Park. Meridian’s neighbours in Stirling House include LeMaitre Vascular, Blueprint Robotics, Alina Homecare and Hereford Times.

Skylon Park itself is home to clusters of businesses involved in advanced manufacturing, defence and security, food production and sustainable technologies. More than 40 businesses are now based here, employing around 750 people.

Mark Pearce, managing director of Skylon Park, Hereford’s Enterprise Zone, said: “This is another fantastic addition to the business community at Stirling House. We have a number of thriving businesses at Skylon Park, including those looking to scale up and grow their teams, so it’s the perfect location for a recruitment company.”

Enquiries to buy or let the last remaining office spaces at Stirling House are now being handled by Jackson Property.
