Pub company Marston’s has acquired the former Tourist Centre site in Ollerton, for a new 180 cover carvery pub/restaurant.
The site was formerly let to Newark and Sherwood Council and is situated just off Ollerton Roundabout, Worksop Road meaning it is perfectly located close to the entrance of both Sherwood Forest National Nature Reserve and Center Parcs Sherwood Forest.
The deal and development of the site represent a total investment of £2.8m.
Work is due to commence on site shortly and the pub is scheduled to open late October 2015.
Marston’s acquired the site from Trustees of Thoresby Estate who acted for themselves. Lee Buchanan of Priority Space acted on behalf of Marston’s.
Rachel Newnes, Acquisitions Manager at Marston’s said: “The location is perfect for Marston’s being close to Sherwood Forest itself and Sherwood Forest Center Parcs.
“We hope to serve both the local community and tourists’ needs and are looking forward to opening our pub in late October this year.”
